Using Emvelink as the core EMV Level 2 card processing component has enabled Fujitsu to go to market quickly with a long-term strategic offering for its customers. HTEC have worked with major retailers for a number of years, having been able to use this experience to develop a number of systems including a state of the art Forecourt-Control Package.
IBM is the leading EPOS provider worldwide in all sectors including general retail, food retailing and hospitality. IBM has been in the card processing business for more than 12 years. In the UK IBM has most of the major high street names using its EFTPOS products. In conjunction with STS, IBM was the first supplier to bring EMV solutions to the market. IBM and STS had more retailers live during the Northampton trial than any other vendor. Since then IBM and STS have continued to migrate new merchants to run a full Chip and PIN solution. The use of Emvelink has made the transition from magnetic stripe to chip low risk.
Ingenico has worked hand-in-hand with STS for the past 2 years in the development of Retail Chip and PIN solutions. The initial Emvelink EMV certifications were successfully achieved utilising an Ingenico EMV level 1 device. Ingenico and STS in partnership with IBM have successfully delivered Chip and PIN solutions into various retailers including Safeway, Asda and Morrisons.
